  1. Quality Updates Causing Issues With Booting?

Hi, I've been having some issues recently with Windows quality updates. The past couple times they've happened I haven't been able to fully boot into my computer, I always have to uninstall the quality update and restart to fully load anything. What this looks like for me is starting my PC, I get all the lights through my PC and monitors, then nothing. I can see my cursor on the monitors but it's a black lit screen otherwise. Again, I can boot it into a menu by holding F8 on restarting, navigating the menu and uninstalling the most recent quality update. I have never had a problem with this pri

Windows 10 update: start up and sleep issues caused

    Dear Vijay,

Thank you for your response: apologies for slow feedback.

Regarding step 1 - doing a restore point : I tried this twice and twice it failed. Now, the date of the update that caused the issue (13/14 September 2019) has disappeared from the history list. Is there a way of finding it, still?

Regarding Step 2- the list of updates installed: the two suggestions above do not seem to appear in the list in the window "Installed Updates".

There are two updates listed for 13 September - Security Update for Adobe Flash Player and Security Update for Microsoft Windows.

Could you advise what I might try next?

    Thank you so much.

  4. Quality Updates Causing Issues With Booting?

    Quality update KB5034763, causing Wi-fi issues on Windows 10 & 11 22H2

I have a few laptops in my care of various manufacturers and various wi-fi cards, all having the same issue after the Quality update KB5034763

Mobile phones are able to connect to the wi-fi router (infrastructure) without issue.

Windows laptops after they lose their IP lease, they no longer seem to be able to connect to the internet.

    Things I have tried:

    • Ipconfig /renew
      • Gives Error message "The name specified in the network control block (NCB) is in use on a remote adapter.
        The NCB is the data.
        • been down the rabbit hole of the numerous "fixes" for this with no winner

    • Update wi-fi drivers where possible
    • Rollback wi-fi drivers where possible
    • Uninstall Quality Update KB5034763
      • after the rollback the issue persists
    • The process of Refreshing anything to do with network comms
      • netsh winsock reset
      • netsh int ip reset
      • ipconfig /release
      • ipconfig /renew
      • ipconfig /flushdns
    • Tried different wi-fi (infrastructure) locations and different brands of wi-fi devices
    • Tried different wi-fi devices of different brands via USB ports

One thing that works is using a mobile phone as a hotspot aka wi-fi (ad hoc).

I am loathed to have to wipe all these Laptops due to an update that is supposed to make things more secure and stable...

anyone got a suggestion or experiencing a similar problem?
