Windows 10: Quantum Break Windows 10 unavailable

HI,

I own Quantum Break on XBOX, but for some reason it isn't available as download in Microsoft Store for Windows 10. In store it shows that I need to buy it again.

Quantum Break is coming to Steam, Windows 7 supported and boxed retail.

"We have confirmed with Remedy that the Steam version of Quantum Break will support Windows 7, meaning that the game will support DirectX 11, and will not be a UWP game. "

Can't buy Quantum Break in Windows 10

I had the very same problem when I tried purchasing Quantum Break from the Microsoft Store. The problem is that Windows Update is not receiving the certain Windows 10 upgrade that Quantum Break requires (version 1511). The solution
is that you need to upgrade your Windows 10 manually by using the Media Creation Tool. This solution worked for me.

Step 1: Check your Windows version by typing "winver" to
Run command. If your version is not 1511 (10586.xxx) or newer and you haven't received this through Windows Update, you need to upgrade your Windows manually.

Step 2: (Optional but recommended) Make a backup of your system and important files on the system disk just in case. Your files should remain intact through the upgrade process, but you never know.

Step 3: Download Media Creation Tool (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209)

Step 4: Run Media Creation Tool and choose "Upgrade this PC now". The process should take around 30 minutes to an hour. All your files should remain intact - although a backup never hurts.

Step 5: That's it! Once the process is done open the Microsoft Store app and you should able to purchase Quantum Break. If there are any problems check your Windows version with "winver" and see if it's upgraded.
