Windows 10: Query on Support for Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB version 1607

Hi,


We have a version of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016, build number 1607 can we know if this is a supported version, would also like to know going forward would this build will get security updates if any?

Hi,

Windows 10 Enterprise is like Windows 10 Home or Windows Pro but with more options. You need to have a license for Windows 10 Enterprise before you can install Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB. One of the difference between the two is that Windows 10 Enterprise
LTSB will not get any feature update while Windows 10 Enterprise will receive feature updates. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB will only receive security updates and if you want to update the said edition to a higher version, you need to re-install Windows 10 Enterprise
LTSB using the installation file that has the updated version. Another difference is that Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB will not have the usual built-in applications like Cortana, Windows Store, Microsoft Edge, etc. For more information, kindly refer to this

Yes, the latest Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB is Windows 10 Enterprise Anniversary Update (1607).

The next LTSB won't be coming out until fall 2019.

If you have access to the volume license service center, you can download the ISO from there and upgrade.

I would like to know when the Windows 10 LTSB version 1607 extended support ends.

Theoretically, according

it ends October 13, 2026.

But it is the same date also for the newer builds? Build 14393.2035 was released on January 17, 2018. Does that it mean that the extended support ends in 2028?

Second question, is there a plan for a new LTSB/LTSC version after 1607?
