  1. Question about Driver Event History

Hello. For some reason, when I uninstalled then reinstalled a specific driver, the event "Device deleted" shows up in the newly installed driver's event history before the events "Device configured" and "Device started." How can a driver be "deleted" before being installed?Am I getting something wrong? If so, please explain what has happened for this to occur. Please look at the EXAMPLE photo below to show that I mean by "Driver Device History."Remember, I need explanations, not troubleshooting steps, please.

    :)

    Laptop driver/reformat question

This is excellent advice. Writing down the list of installed devices prior to re-formatting will save you a lot of heartache. With that list, you won't have to try to figure out exactly which wireless card or web cam driver you need since there will likely be several to choose from.
