Windows 10: Question About Photos App

Hello! I’ve been using the Windows 10 Photos app to import photos from my phone since I got my laptop three years ago. It has a lot of very important photos on it, and I’d like to upload them to Google Photos to back them up and make sure I can access them if my laptop ever goes under.

I also want to do this because my OneDrive space is all used up so many of my photos in the app aren’t backed up and can only be accessed through the app on the laptop.

Is there a way to do this? I tried downloading backup and sync through Google, but it’s only syncing my downloaded photos and not from the photos app. I’m stumped, please help!

Follow these steps and check if that helps.

• 
  After open the Photos app, click on Settings and under Sources you have options to rename the folder.
  
• 
  Ensure to install any pending updates and restart the computer to check if that helps.

App Photos

In this case, we suggest restoring your Photo app library to default. To do this, simply follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer (you can open it from Start Menu, Search or taskbar).
• Click on View tab.
• Click on Navigation pane and choose Show libraries.
• In the left pane right-click on Libraries and click on
  Restore default libraries.
• Open your Photos app again.

why does the photos app pickup face book pictures?

Hi Dale,

Photos app only serves as a viewer for your Photos on your Facebook account. It will only save on your computer if you download it manually. To address your concern about deleting photos, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open the Photos app.
• Select the photos you wish to delete by clicking the checkbox on the photo.
• Click the Delete icon at the top right corner of the window.
