    Question about System Restore Points for external USB SSDs...


    This question is about the System Protection tab of the System Properties dialogue-box that is accessed via the Advanced system settings link in Settings App > System > About—please see the picture below. I notice that for my USB external SSD, it is labelled as "Off" in the Protection column of the Protection Settings section. Can you tell me, is this normal? Should this be the default setting for external USB SSDs in this regard? I guess it means that no "System Restore Points" are being made for the external USB SSD—which is fine, I just wanted to understand this a bit more clearly...
