    Question about Win11 Update

Hello,I have a HP Omen Obelisk Desktop running Win10 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. My processor is a IntelR CoreTM i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz 3.00 GHz ,16.0 GB 15.9 GB usable RAM and graphics is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB. My storage is 238 GB SSD SK hynix BC501 HFM256GDJTNG-8310A and a 932 GB HDD WDC WD10EZEX-60WN4A0 . The only thing I use my hard drive for are pictures, personal documents and music. My question is that if I decide to update my Win 10 computer how will the update effect my hard drive? Will I still be able to use it? Will the update remove my pics, d

    :)

  2. question re: ability to upgrade to Win11

I am interested in updating my current OS (Win10 Home, Version 21H2) to Win11. When I checked through the PC Health Check application, it said I could not because my processor was not adequate. However, when I checked the system information, I find that my processor (AMD Ryzen 1700 Eight-core processor, 3Ghz) is listed on the acceptable systems to run Win11. Everything else is listed as being adequate to run Win11. What am I missing? (Please forgive my lack of depth on this subject.)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Question about Win11 Update :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

  4. Question about Win11 Update

    Win11 upgrade not coming

If you checked again my previous replies, you can see ASUS re-installed my new notebook a even newer Win10 Home installation. After this 2nd time installation, I only did these to the toy:

    1. installed chrome
    2. changed its display brightness
    3. changed wallpaper
After your previous suggestion, the 1 month temp McAfee was gone.

I can't figure out why I can't upgrade to Win11 for such a new notebook. Newer notebook will come with Win11 natively Question about Win11 Update :)
