I definitely should wait at least another 120 days before getting a Windows 11 PC as I’ll rip at least 7,630 songs from audio CDs to Apple Lossless format to save in a Norton 360 Premium II plan with 150 GB of cloud storage so far. There should be an iTunes 13 or 12.13 by Monday, June 27th, 2022.

Apple Lossless (ALAC) audio codec for Nokia?

Hello,

Could you suggest me if there are any audio codec for Nokia E61 which allows to play Apple Lossless audio files (ALAC), please? These files have a file extension .m4a and are widely used with Apple iTunes (lossless audio compression). I have many such files,
but my Nokia E61 don't play them. And I don't want to convert them to mp3. I would just like to upload my m4a files to my phone and listen. Many thanks in advance!

How to rip CDS

That most lossless formats are truly as lossless as can be, it is an outside force that causes the distortion or deviation from the original. I use all fiber optic to carry my audio between systems, and can't hear a difference between the audio provided by my cd player, DVD player or a high bitrate "lossless" from my PC. All else being equal. Step below lossless and the quality is degraded and is crap at low bitrates.

Well, I won't debate that. I likely haven't perfected the art of ripping to FLAC. But I just don't bother. My absolute favorites are left uncompressed anyway. I have the space, so it's no bother.
