    Admittedly, there are a lot of Windows 11 functions I'm even now just noticing many, many months after I purchased by new computer. But I am still confused as how to control the behavior of my computer as it relates to Windows Updates. I notice lots of irrelevant downloads unnecessary for security in my add/remove programs menu. I've gone through a few other questions to see that at least in Windows 10, there is no way to stop these automatic updates, but there is apparently a pause option, but I'm not understanding it. Mine is currently set for "1 week." The issue is that I don't get any noti

    i have some questions about the windows automatic updates in windows xp pro w sp/2. ive got about forty updates they recommend , mostly for security but i only installed two today. after installing them i found them in my add/remove programs in the control panel, if i add all these updates that is a lot of space on my hd almost 1 gig. i thought that updates just updated files and not created new programs. should i innore all these update suggestions from microsoft?

    I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

    If it is Cumulative Update for Windows 10 March 8, 2016 then I suggest you to remove the update and check if it helps.

    Follow the steps below to remove the update.


    • Go to Control Panel.

    • Select programs and Feature.

    • Click on View installed Updates.

    • There select the update and uninstall it and check if it helps.
