Windows 10: Question Is a 6800 XT with three connectors better than a 6800 XT with two?

I had an [ASRock Phantom Gaming 6800 XT]https://pg.asrock.com/Graphics-Card/AMD/Radeon%20RX%206800%20XT%20Phantom%20Gaming%20D%2016G%20OC/index.asp with 3 connectors, but I was having issues with it and returned it for a [https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/con...n/consumer/pulse-radeon-rx-6800-xt-16g-gddr6 with only 2 connectors. Is the Pulse worse than the Phantom Gaming then, or are they the same? I did get the Pulse for $15 less than the Phantom Gaming which is something.I was able to OC my ASRock to a minimum of 2450, a maximum of 2550, a VRAM frequency of 2124 with fast timing, and u

I've been looking at the RTX 3070 as I'm considering getting a better GPU than my twin RX 580s. I like what the 3070 has to offer (still can't buy one though - grrrrr), but I saw an ad for the Radeon RX 6800 XT. According to a couple of comparison sites the 6800 blows the 3070 out of the water:

The 3070 is supposed to be cheaper, though I can't get CDN prices on either one as of yet, but I'm wondering if I should be comparing to the 3080 instead? Overall, I've been pretty happy with AMD for the past number of years and I use an AMD platform, so I like the idea of everything being the same.

So if the 3080 and 6800 XT are roughly the same price, I'm struggling with the decision. Or would the 3070 be adequate? Thoughts anyone?
