Windows 10: Question on Using 'Backup and Restore (Windwos 7)' in Windows 10

Hi. I have my external drive (USB-C) connected to my Windows 10 laptop all the time for automatic backups, using Backup and Restore (Windows 7). I have a question: does the backup of the selected drive (in my case, drives C:/ and D:/) include files that are created after the backup has started?

It is true that the Windwos 10 Reset does fail sometimes . ..

There are only the 2 backup options in Windows

Backup and Restore (windows 7)

This lets you backup folders or you can also include a system image

File History

This is simply for keeping previous versions of your personal files

To create a bootable copy of Windows 10, your best option is to create one with the Media Creation Tool and keep it safe for when you need it:

Windows 7 Backup question

Hi, I have Windows 7 x64 HP. I've used the backup and restore feature to backup on an external drive, and I've also burned a copy of the restore software that it wished me to burn onto a CD. My question is, if ever my PC fails or something and I need to restore my files, will I need anything beyond the external drive and the backup CD? Or will I need the original OS CD as well? I upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista but I don't have my Vista disc anymore (lost it a long time ago), which basically means the Windows 7 upgrade disc shouldn't work either (to be honest, I haven't touched the disc in nearly a year so I don't really know where the W7 update disc is either :/). Thanks.

2. Traditional Backups like in Windows 7.

The Backup and restore Windows 7 name only signifies that this is similar to the ones in Windows 7. Although that is also deprecated and is not guaranteed to be available on Future versions of Windows, Microsoft recommends using softwares like Acronis to take
backups.
