    Question regarding to activation from preview version to RTM


    Hi forumers,

    So far what I knew is those who join for windows insider preview are able to obtain windows 10 for free (before RTM released)
    I registered windows insider preview with my account since win10 still in beta stage (build 10xxx). However, I didn't install and test. Do I still able to install preview version and update it to geniune windows 10 for free? I still having the win10 build 10xxx ISO with me.

    Does the procedure to activate from preview to RTM still remain as the same?

    Hi Steve

    Using a Product Key from the previous version of Windows is not supported in the RTM version yet.

    It is being tested in the Preview Build 10565 now.

    need information on Windows10 RTM Release Date

    I've been using Windows 10 preview ver. for about 3 days.

    I'm waiting for the rtm ver.

    The questions are below :

    1) When will the rtm version get release? (pls let me know the exact date)

    2) How can I install the rtm version? (is the preview ver. automatically upgraded to rtm ver.?)

    I'm on the Insider Preview for quite awhile now and have never been given any indication we will get the RTM version free. Do you have a reference to anything that says that?
