Windows 10: Questionable update pending on Windows 10 PC!

When I check Windows Update, the following information appears:



Updates Available

ITE Tech Inc : HID Class 11/2/2015 12,00.00 AM 52.200.0

Status : Pending install



What kind of software is this that is trying to install on my PC.?



I have never come across such an update previously. Surely it cannot possibly be a genuine Microsoft Windows 10 update? Can it be malware? How do I stop it installing on my PC?

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
