Windows 10: Questions regarding transfering a Windows license

Hello, I am building a new PC in the next few days and I want to know what I have to do to get Windows up and running on the new hardware. I have Windows 10 at the momentFirst of all the license in question was originally, a Windows 8 key from a 2013 laptop that I transferred to my current PC in 2020. That time, I vaguely remember doing it by getting my key via the command prompt and then entering it on my new PC. Now I wish to transfer that same license to a brand new PC built from scratch, I won't reuse any hardware from my current one.I checked the settings app and it says that I have t

i bought the license. My laptop was originally loaded with win 7 and was upgraded free couple of months.

in this case, if i understand you correctly, i can transfer with below steps. Right.?

and to my question do you have an update.

does OS upgrades if my activation key is changed.

Add Windows 8.1 Pro Pack or Windows 8.1 Media Center Pack to your edition of Windows 8.1

• Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
  (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.)
  
• Enter add features in the search box, and then tap or click Settings.
  
• Tap or click Add features to Windows 8.1 and then do one of the following:
  
  • If you need to purchase a product key, tap or click I want to buy a product key online.
    Follow the steps to purchase and enter a product key.
    
  • If you already have a product key, tap or click I already have a product key.
• Enter your product key and click Next.
  
• Read the license terms, select the check box to accept the license terms, and then click Add features.
  
  
  Would this be the way to do it? And would it matter that this would be the US version and not UK?

Windows 10 license transfer question

Hi,

I've got a question regarding Windows licensing. I currently have a Windows 10 Home OEM license preinstalled on my laptop and want to upgrade it to Windows 10 Pro edition from Microsoft Store. If I get another PC in the future, can I transfer this Pro license from my laptop to the new PC, or is it tied to this device only and non-transferable?
