Windows 10: questions regarding "your administrator requires a security scan" message

A popup on the bottom right corner appeared when I opened an application. This is the first time I've seen anything like it.

The wording was:

Security scan required

Your administrator requires a security scan of this item. The scan could take up to 10 seconds.

When I clicked on it, it brought me to this webpage.

For context, the application in question that was being launched was OpenMW, an alternative engine to run the videogame Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. So obviously I know it is not a virus/security risk, as I've played it before without the prompt.

I'm guessing it has to do with the recent update (Windows 10, version 1803), hence why I've never seen the prompt before. But looking it up, there have been previous reports of similar incidents. Very suspicious, as the wording of the prompt has me questioning some things. Specifically, "Your administrator requires a security scan of this item," as I'm not aware of any "administrator," since this on my personal laptop.

Is this something that I should be worried about? Anyone with more insight on the subject, please feel free to speak more on the subject. Everything I've read elsewhere on this subject does not lead to any solid conclusions.

Windows Security, list of scanned files

Hi

Regarding the new Windows Security app

Questions:

1) Where can I find a list of files included in latest (quick) scan.?

2) Where can I find a list of file type default not included in a scanning?

3) Where can I find the list of disks included in the next scanning?

If not, suggests deeper problems. To which uninstall option are you referring? (A picture is worth...)

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
