Windows 10: Quick Access and Pinned Spreadsheets on Task Bar reset every night OR after reboot

With Windows 10, every evening, usually between about 3:30 and 5:30am, my Quick Access folder resets to Desktop, Downloads, Pictures and Documents. Any folders I had pinned disappear, and even though I have unpinned three of the four defaults, they are back the next morning. I leave the PC on but locked overnight to allow remote access, but this also happens if I reboot and in that case, my Google Drive gets added to Quick Access, as well. In addition, any recently used spreadsheets as well as pinned spreadsheets disappear from the Excel icon pinned to my task bar. The Excel icon stays pinn

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

Pin exe to Quick Access or Second Task Bar ?


Hi

I have dual screens and have two task bars.
I have an exe I'd like to pin to either Quick Access or my second task bar, but I can't find anyway to do either.

Any way to do this ?

Can i separate quick access from explore list to taskbar pinned list?


it's really getting annoying that i can't see any of the recent used files list as i have too many pinned list,
can i have a separate list for task bar pinned list and quick access list in explorer?
