    Quick Access Bar very usefull

I'm not all that familiar with File Explorer in Windows 10, since I've been on this blasted Windows 8.1 computer trying to solve problems for the past week!

The main reason I use QuickLaunch is that I can pin files to it as well as apps. I can't do that with the Taskbar. *Sad

Say I have a folder named Accounting and within that folder are a number of sub folders and then more sub folders within those (yep, I do have that) folders, so I drill down three to four levels to get to the Letters folder with form letters I send out. One of those letters is a reminder that I haven't received payment for January. I pin that form letter to my QuickLaunch bar and when I need to send it out, I just click on it and Word opens with the form letter ready to be filled in.

That's the short reason; however, I have everything I use on a daily or weekly basis to QuickLaunch. It's there ready and waiting for me to grab what I need. Here's what it looks like.

I'll look at that when I get the time, but for now, QuickLaunch serves my purposes with one click rather than several. *Smile

You might find Bins a useful utility - it's not free though - not expensive either.

Cute! I like the layout holding like stuff with like. And the price is quite reasonable.

  6. The first time I saw it on a member's screen shot I thought "Now how did they configure that - I want to do it too!" I still think it's a good value and if I ever get to the point where I can't trim down my taskbar, I'll definitely buy it.

. Bill, didn't anyone ever tell you that those "around to it" things never happen? *chuckle

No, it is for Win 7/8, so i will wait for Bins or Stardock to get a more modern look on the taskbar

  12. Runs on 8, probably runs on 10. As far as I know, Bins runs on top of the taskbar - the grouping should be transparent. What ever your taskbar looks like, it will look the same with Bins, just better organized.

I think - you probably want to double check that.

  15. That's pretty much the position I took too. Neat add-on, fair price, will think about it (that was 2 or more years ago - still thinking about it *Wink)
