Windows 10: Quick Access pinned folders changing randomly

I have been having this issue for some time time now that the quick access folder will at completely random times clear all the view settings and just lump all the documents and folders as one. Sometimes it will do after I run a program but never the same twice and sometimes it will do it after I try up upload an image to web site or forum even sometimes it will happen after putting the PC into sleep or doing a restart. Nothing is lost it just changes the view. I can fix it every time by going to the folder view option and resetting all folders but it starts to be a hassle to have to reset the

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

The File Explorer automatic Quick Access pinning behaviour is determined through 2 settings in Folder Options.

To check/change Quick Access settings

1. Open File Explorer and go into the Folder Options.
   
2. In the General tab, in the Privacy section review the check boxes for the 2 settings;
   
   • 'Show recently used files in Quick access',
     
   • and, 'Show frequently used folders in Quick access'.
     
3. Click OK to apply any changes or Cancel to exit without applying any changes.
   

Additionally, you can reset/clear any File Explorer history by clicking the Clear button in Folder Options. This will remove all automatic pins from Quick Access but it preserves your manually pinned folders/files.
