    Quick Access Pins/Links in Windows 10 File Explorer keeps disappearing

    I have been having this problem in Windows 10 for several weeks now. I keep pinning my most used folders and files to Quick Access only to have them disappear within a short period of time. I have been searching for a fix for this, but the same 'resolutions' keep popping up in all the forums where I've looked. I've done all the usual things that people say to try and they DO NOT WORK. I am also seeing a lot of people recommending third-party software to fix it. Is there truly no way to fix this? I have done the "make sure Quick Access is set to Open File Explorer to instead of opening to "This PC". I've made sure to uncheck the boxes "Show recently used files in Quick Access" and "Show frequently used folders in Quick Access". I've cleared the file explorer history and tried everything again. I've done, undone, redone, booted, rebooted every scenario of those things hoping to somehow get it back to saving/keeping my Quick Access pins. NOTHING is working. I've looked at all the articles that people keep referring to as a tutorial, but most of them just repeat the same thing as every other tutorial. Nothing new has surfaced as a fix and I'm left wondering why. Why can't this issue be fixed? It seems like no one is really trying to find a solution, but just keep pointing to old 'fixes' that don't work. I don't see where anyone has fixed it without the use of third-party software, but I can't do that on my computer. It's my work computer and it has a security level so tight that doesn't allow me to download any new software. I would sincerely love it if someone could actually create a fix. I don't think I'm alone in this, because like I said, I see where others have the same problem, but there hasn't been an actual fix. {{help me - - pretty please?}}

    :)

    Pin FTP Location to Quick Access in Win Explorer

    I have a link to an FTP folder that I can not get to pin to Win Explorer Quick Launch. The shortcut appears in c:\users\[user name]\links but does not appear in the quick access list.

    Opening the file in Win Explorer and right clicking on "Quick access" with the option "pin to quick access" does nothing and there is no option in right click list to "pin to quick access" or even "pin to start" for a .lnk file.

  3. File Explorer/Quick Access

    I recently started having a problem with File Explorer and Quick Access. When I start my computer, all works fine but then gradually the files as listed in File Explorer and Quick Access start to disappear and soon there are none present. I need to
    restart and again they are there but also again they start to disappear. Has anyone else had this problem and any suggestion to correct? Thanks/

    Quick Access Pins/Links in Windows 10 File Explorer keeps disappearing

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
