  1. Quick Assist Can Generate Code or Not

Hi! I would like to ask if Quick Assist can be accessed through Command Prompt or PowerShell to generate the connection code required for remote access to a friend's laptop. I am curious if it is possible to happen and currently having trouble finding articles on whether Quick Assist supports generating it via Command Prompt or PowerShell, apart from just launching the application. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could answer my questions and provide useful research or articles.

    :)

    Quick Assist

The person performing the helping gets the 6 digit code, they Email or text the code to the person requiring the help . . .

Launch the Quick Assist tool. It's listed under the Windows Accessories folder - or just search the Start menu for "Quick Assist."

    2. In the Quick Assist window that appears, click Give Assistance

    Launching Windows 10 Quick Assist

To help another Windows 10 user remotely, launch the Quick Assist app and choose Give Assistance.

    3. Sign in with your Microsoft Online account.

    4. Quick Assist generates a 6-digit security code. Give this code (by email, instant messenger, text or voice call) to the person whose computer you will need to connect to. After 10 minutes, this code will become invalid.

  3. Quick Assist Give Assistance no longer generates a code

I was so happy to see Quick Assist in Windows 10. I'm able to help my parents who live on the other side of the country when they run into issues. For a while it worked like a charm. I would open Quick Assist, click the Assist another person button and then
generate the code so my parents could enter it on their end. Now when I click Assist another person I get a blank screen and it never generates a code. It looks like this:

I'm guessing it has something to do with my Microsoft account or something but I don't know what I need to do to fix this. Please help. Thanks!

Quick Assist Can Generate Code or Not

Quick Assist - NO code *RESOLVED*

System clock was an hour ahead. When corrected, QA began listing a code. Go figger...

Quick Assist on Win 10 Pro Desktop will not issue a "give assistance" code and the counter remains at zero. Occasionally a code does flicker, briefly.

Four different system images, dating back to 6/6/17 have been restored with no change. QA worked well then, with the settings that were in effect at the time the images were created.

That attests to this not being a file, settings or Windows update issue. SFC is clear. Remote assistance and sharing options are enabled. Network and Windows Store troubleshooters have been run, though QA is not a store app.

QA has no problems listing a code on a Win 10 HOME laptop running on the same network. The Win 10 Pro PC can receive assistance, just not give it, so the connection is not being blocked.

How can this fault be remedied - other than using Team Viewer? ^_^
