Windows 10: Quick assist - can't see screen when admin login is required to install software or modify...

Hello,I was trying to use quick assist as an alternative to realVNC. My biggest issue is whenever I need to do anything that requires admin rights on the remote desktop I'm supporting my screen goes black with a pause symbol and they get a popup for the admin login.The users do not have local admin rights and I don't want to give them the admin username and password even if I create a local admin account for them.Is there a way around that "feature" when logged in as a standard user? I do not want to give them local admin access.

Install Windows Store Quick Assist

I have tried in every way I know to download the new Quick Assist from the Microsoft Store but I'm getting no-where. Has anyone been successful in installing the new Quick Assist, if so, what did you do?

I've tried the usual fixed for the Microsoft Store;

• WSReset.exe
  
• Rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
  
• Run Powershell as Admin and use WinGet
  
• Login as domain admin and try installing from the Microsoft Store
  
• Attempt to add the app in Endpoint Manager (store links appear to be broken at present)

Quick assist and admin right for clients

I am hoping someone can provide some help here.

I have a few companies I provide IT for, with 5-15 employees each. I have been using Quick Assist to provide remote support but I am encountering a problem.

All my users are Standard users on their machines by default, so for example, if they try to install a program, I would need to remote into their PC and install the program as an Admin. The problem is if I do this remotely via Quick Assist, the screen goes black when it is prompting for the Admin login and password, so I can't see or enter the details required. I know how to fix this through gpedit but I can't access gpedit or other services from a standard user account. It is a security breach to share the admin password with the users so I am unsure how else I could do this.

Does anyone know how to access services like gpedit, device manager etc from a standard account? Is it possible to use cmd prompt, for example, and type open gpedit.msc using specified admin login details you type in? It would be so much nicer if I could switch user profiles while logged in through Quick Assist.

 

Quick Assist asking for login

After running Quick Assist then click Give Assistance . A page opens to Sign in to your account and asks me to long in with my username.
I'm already logged in to my computer.
Then it goes to Microsoft Quick Assist and a blank page.
I kept the urls short.
I've used Quick Assist in the past with not problem or required to log in.

What is going on?
