    Quick Assist is unstable-won't stay connected- March 2025


    Quick Assist is unstable-won't stay connected- March 2025. The connection doesn't say open for the usual 60 minutes. It randomly stops and goes to a black screen. This has been happening for at least two 2 days. What is going on? Feature request: a quick assist status monitoring dashboard so those who rely upon it will know if it's working. I hate wasting time on the standard troubleshooting when it's clearly a system issue.

    Reset Quick Assist settings

    Hi,

    Thank you for the information. Stability of connection in Quick Assist depends on the internet connection. We suggest to make sure that you are connected to stable internet. To help you with this, please perform the following steps below:

    • Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
    • On Settings, choose Apps & features.
    • On the left pane, choose Programs and Features.
    • Then, look for Quick Assist and click on it.
    • Choose Advanced options, then Repair.

    I suppose another possibility might be that some related service is not configured correctly...

    E.g. Tweaking.com's repair tool includes a repair to set services to default.

    I suggest you look at affected PCs and check installed programs to see if there are any that are common only to those and not others, especially 3rd party security programs with firewalls.

    I saw a note somewhere that there's no relevant group policy.
