    All, the new Quick Assist Store App bug appears to be incomplete, it works for a general session, however should the Person Assisting A restart the remote PC B, being assisted the remote PC restarts and attempts to reconnect to A following the remote PC B user opening the Quick Assit App. on the A screen it remains blank and does not connect. Eventually the hour glass, dots in a circle appears but stays there forever. Remote user B can exit from Quick Assist. The helper A cannot exit the screen, Using Task Manager to cease Quick Assist appears to corrupt the App. If you re-ente

    Quick Assist on Win 10 Pro Desktop will not issue a "give assistance" code and the counter remains at zero. Occasionally a code does flicker, briefly.

    Four different system images, dating back to 6/6/17 have been restored with no change. QA worked well then, with the settings that were in effect at the time the images were created.

    That attests to this not being a file, settings or Windows update issue. SFC is clear. Remote assistance and sharing options are enabled. Network and Windows Store troubleshooters have been run, though QA is not a store app.

    QA has no problems listing a code on a Win 10 HOME laptop running on the same network. The Win 10 Pro PC can receive assistance, just not give it, so the connection is not being blocked.

    How can this fault be remedied - other than using Team Viewer? ^_^

    Quick Assist not working

    Good diagnostic step.

    You've tried disabling 3rd party program startups, but there could be more things starting beyond those listed in the task manager startup list, if that's what you used.

    Ideally you would have hands on access to both PCs... but that's not so. All credit to them for creating a new user account etc.

    If you wished to disable more startups on the problem account you could use Autoruns (free from MS). But that seems asking a bit much of someone else remotely.

    Of course, the problem could have nothing whatsoever to do with startups... you might want to check all services are default, for example, in particular those necessary for this.

    Presumably it's not been blocked by the firewall:

    This gives useful detail on how it works. For example, it uses port 443, so you need to check that's not blocked.
    It also indicates how to block it- so you can check that doesn't apply.
