Windows 10: Quicken is have delays probably due to a Windows setting that changed in a Windows update

Starting about a year ago many Quicken users began experiencing very slow. 1. Program launch, 2. Changing functions from within the program 3 A one step update feature that reaches out and updates all transactions in selected accounts. I have used Quicken for many years and have never experienced this. My band width is fine. My machine is fine. I thought at first it was windows giving one drive command of all the data. I have I believe deleted, disabled ONE Drive. It did not help. This is a single used PCI use it for Quicken only I have a SSD. The machine itself is 2 or 3 years o

I highly doubt it is hardware. The Quicken community has not been able to help. Quicken Support seems predisposed in their belief it is not a Quicken issue. I believe it is. I believe there was probably a setting in the windows 10 program that changed that they did not account for. Any Help, advise or direction to resolve this will be greatly appreciated.

I would like to know how to set Windows 10 to prioritize all Quicken functions and or find what is causing the conflicts in running the program.

 

Windows 8.1 update changed the language, can't change back

Maybe, these will help... it seems it is a common enough problem.

Language packs are no longer available after you upgrade to Windows 8.1

Change your Windows display language
To change your Windows display language (that's the language you see most often in Windows and apps), first add a language, download and install the language pack, and then follow these steps.

  (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)
• Tap or click Time and language, and then tap or click Region and language.
• Tap or click the language that you want to set as your display language.
• Tap or click Set as primary to move the language to the top of the list. If the language can become your Windows display language, you'll see Will be display language after next sign-in appear under the language.
• Sign out and then sign back in to finish.

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.
