Windows 10: Quiet static noise normal?

So just something I’ve noticed when I play games and mute windows audio (Realtek) or pause the game I hear a very quiet (like extremely quiet) static noise. It only happens when I play games and stops when I Alt+Tab out and is not a problem really, I’m just wondering if it is normal for mute not to be completely silent?

All drivers are up to date

Static Noises in Calls

Hello, I'm Gabe and I've been having some issues with microphone.

When I call someone on my laptop, they tell me they hear static like this, which I recorded:

I can also hear, but very slightly in my left earbud, and I would hear a random beep sometimes.

I use simple apple earbuds to call people

The issue isn't the earbuds because I've tried 3 different ones and it's the same problem.

Without headphones, the static doesn't occur at all, so the problem may be the audio jack.

I also have a Lenovo Legion Y7000 Gaming PC

The static noise would fluctuate, one second it would be all quiet and normal, and then the static would come out of nowhere.

I have received errors about BIOS throughout the day, but I would typically ignore them, but I realized that might have been the solution, and I haven't got the error message which would guide me on how to fix it, I don't know how to manually do it.

question about these new fangled static pressure fans

I understand completely, as I hate the noise also.

If you want higher cfm and less static pressure, normal air flow fans will work, just need to find the specs that foot your bill.

If you're looking for quiet static pressure fans, I love my Scythe Gentle typhoon AP14s. The list as 21dba and to me seem much quieter than my SP120-quiet fans, which list at 23dba I think. I
