Windows 10: R key and X key of my laptop keyboard can't respond.

I use omen2021, and my external keyboard is all right, but the R key and X key of my laptop keyboard can't respond.

Keyboard key doesn't work

just got refub keyboard from eBay, but the X key doesn't respond and i would like to know if there is a way to fix it before i ship it back

it looks and feels normal, like any other key. I popped it out and tried pressing on that rubber "boot" under the key, but still get no response *Cry :cry:

it is microsoft 4000 keyboard

 

Keyboard keys switched


After the latest windows insider update some keys on my keyboard have changed. For example " is now @ and the opposite as well. Meaning if I want the @ key as in a email address, I must push the " key. I cant seem to find a way to reset to default. The normal keyboard default does nothing. The other changes are listed below, the errors are in bold red;

Windows 10 Laptop Keyboard Keys Acting Strange

Hi,

I realize that you are facing issues with the keyboard on your PC. I will try to help you with this issue.

Suggest you to plug in an external keyboard to the laptop to check if that helps.

Further you may also use the onscreen keyboard to check if that helps.

Follow these steps to launch the On-screen keyboard:

  Press Windows key + R to get the run window.
  
• 
  Type “osk” and hit enter to launch the On-screen keyboard and check if this helps.
