Windows 10: Rabbit hole of error 0x800703e6

CONTEXT This started on 7/3/2024, don't know how happened but put it aside until today. When I got a window update icon with a red dot next to it with the hover message of how it's about to be outdated. DETAILS First, I tried resetting desktop but got the message of "there was a problem resetting your pc. No changes were made" I also tried to fully clean my drive but got the same message. When searching up the issue to fix my reset issue, i came across sfc /scannow. Then got the message "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair". Then trying to fix that sfc issue with reagent

Rabbit Hole

I feel like Alice falling down the rabbit hole as I am researching information in the quest to fix/improve my laptop since deciding to go into the Insider Program.

I am, for the most part, learning many aspects that I need and want to know, however, if seems too many times one possible “fix” leads to another option, then another…and so on.

For now, this is the issue I need fixed the most. My speakers continue to pop and crackle during any audio. I have used the troubleshooter, allowed MS to able their “fix” (which obviously did not work), I have read many knowledge base and support articles on various pages, including here, and I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and updated my driver.

Last night I found a possible reason why nevertheless I am unsure. I have had this laptop for a little more than a year. Per Dell, my BIOS has an update, well two but I am not sure if I am to install both. The latest update states a fix for my issues with IPv6. BONUS!!

I am currently reading everything I can to ensure I understand the process and how to apply it. Any suggestions and/or help would be much appreciated!!

My Dell is supposed to auto-update, however it seems I have many files that need attention. Figures. *Confused

why is it that each time i look into microsoft help it runs me down a rabbit hole I get so far with their instructions and then what they tell me as an option is not there. I am doing soemthing whihc would seem so simple trying to log in under adminsitrator so I can update my scanner.

here is their directions

Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button

, clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety, clicking User Accounts, and then clicking Manage another account

. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Well User Accounts is not there only accounts and under that there is no user account option. I try searching for manage another account or user account no listing to display.
