Windows 10: Radeon 535 driver on Windows 10 causes black screen forever

Greetings to everyone,

this is my first time writing and complaining so I am sorry if I a wrote something wrong a propos form or site rules.

Recently I bought a new laptop

LENOVO IDEAPAD 330 -ARR-15 with Ryzen 3 processor with Vega graphics, Radeon 535, 8gb ram, and it came with windows 10 operating system.


Windows 10 installs the radeon 535 driver automatically but when I, wanting to install radeon settings, install a new driver from AMD site the screen goes black forever, until I have to downgrade the driver, delete it or reinstall the system.

Also I am having problems with Windows 10 not letting me install AMD SETTINGS, or any AMD software to tweak my gpu. And, believe me, I have tried everything, I even wrote to AMD and they responded that - It`s operating system doing something funny. This is my last resort.


When I run the driver update software which I recently got it also updates the graphics card to newest version and... black screen (It`s not that I`m installing something wrong, the program made for finding and installing drivers just does its job).

The trouble is that I cannot use (even with older driver) my dedicated graphics sometimes (I usually change this by switching from POWER SAVING to PERFORMANCE in GRAPHICS SETTINGS but sometimes it does not work) so integrated graphics card is FORCED to run programs for which is not meant to run and compute.

I had to take my laptop to the store back to legally (since I still have the guarantee) check if something is wrong with the hardware but they keep telling me that it`s Windows 10 not letting me decide what to do with my components.

If this trouble does not get resolved - it`s okay.

Please, point me in the right direction, at least. I ended up not being able to use my laptop`s components for which i gave money.

AMD Radeon 6970 drivers cause black screen

I have a AMD Radgeon 6970 graphics card and my computer will frequently black screen, i.e. Nothing is getting sent to my monitor and everything is frozen. Similar to this question and issue: AMD Radeon GPU driver installation cause black screen
This issue does not occur in safe mode. and the computer seems to work fine. There are no hardware events that I see coming out of the gpu, monitor, or processor. The only events I can see are adminstrative events for DCOM 1084 for ShellHWDetection and BITS detection. Is there anywhere I am missing to look for errors for this black screen issue?

Relevant computer info is:
OS - Windows 10 64 Bit - This is a fresh install created recently download from Microsoft media creation tool.

Processor - i5-2500k
Graphics card - AMD Radeon 6970 - Driver version: 15.200.1055.0

 

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?
