Raid 10 failure after bad Win10 update

Situation: Computer acted flaky and froze this morning after problematic Win10 auto-update. After multiple forced reboots, the system seemed to work fine, but hours later suddenly it can't see my RAID 10 drive qty: 6 - 1month old 6Tb drives. SSD C drive still works fine.I suspect that one of my new HDD's Pool 3 Disk 1 is bad. ?? What should I do to fix this? Many tech articles led me to believe that if I ever had a bad HDD, that the RAID drive would still function in reduced capacity, but it went completely offline and is unrecognized by the OS. What is my likely failure an

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

  3. Need specifics on RAID 10

step 1) purchase a raid card that does raid 10 and has 4x mini sas. you will want at least 1024 ram on that chip.
step 2) purchase 16 2 TB enterprise class constellation drives
step 3) purchase another whole rig to do the same thing
step 4) setup rsync to copy all of the changed data from server 1 to server 2
step 5) buy 2 800 watt BBU (1 for each)

    there.

Failure to find OS after upgrade to Win10 with RAID

    Hello,

I am running a RAID (stripped) array on my home built desktop using two SSD's.

I have been running Windows 7 home premium for a year with no problems.

Windows 10 decided to automatically upgrade and now I get the error msg that there is no OS detected.

I have had my other computers that are NOT running RAID upgrade with no problems.

I suspect that the problem lies in that the OS being split between two drives it tried to write the new windows 10 to a single drive...

I have family photos of my young children on there.

I have an external USB SATA adapter but since the photos I need are split between two drives... I have no idea how to retrieve them.

Anyone else having problems with RAID and Win10 upgrade??

Any suggestions or advice are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Paul
