    RAID causing 100% disk usage freeze?


    Hello,I installed two Sata HDD Drives in Raid 0, so I had to switch from AHCI to Raid. Therefore I did a clean install with the latest windows versions and raid drivers 2.20.1937 using RAID_NVMe_DID. Every single time I end up with a clean systems randomly freezing with 100% Disk usage no data throughput on my SATA SSD drive and sometimes also on my NVMe drive. I did several reinstalls, but the problem persists, even after disabling the usual suspects: superfetch, bits, windows search, notifications, defender ... The problems started with switching to raid:

    100% disk usage

    The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.

    100% disk usage and memory usage can be caused by a software corruption, running application running on the background and malware or virus infection.

    For us to properly isolate the issue and provide an appropriate resolution, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Did the issue happen after installing the Fall Creators?
    • Did you receive any error messages?
    • Can you send us the screenshot of the Task Manager showing the 100% disk usage and memory usage?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    your hard disk 100% usage. Here's how:

    • Type task manager in the Windows search bar and select the best match.
    • In the Processes tab, look at the disk process to see what is causing your hard disk 100% usage.
