Windows 10: RAID Horrible Perfomance

I have 8 6TB Seagate SAS 12GBps drives, I tried to use a Perc H730P and a SAS 9300-8i, with the 730P I created a RAID 6 initialized, formatted in windows and tested. using CrystalDiskMark I got 800mb Read but only 100write speeds. But whenever I tried to copy files is was extremely slow would start out around 200mbps and then within seconds drop down to 10-20mbps. Something didn't seem right so I tried the 9300-8i card and tested each hard drive individually. All of them scored 210-220 read/write speeds. I then created a Parity Pool with Storage Spaces, and got similar results as they 730P. Copied files from my NVME (60GB File and 7GB File) started fast and then dropped to 10-20mbps. Once the files were on the Parity Pool I tried to just copy/paste and still got slow results.

Am I doing something wrong here? I'm not sure what else it could be, these are all new drives.

remove royal raid

As per the description, I understand that you are experiencing issue with you are not able to uninstall “Royal Raid” app on the system.

I certainly understand your concern and will try my best to help you.

I would suggest you to follow the steps given below and check if that helps.

• Click on the “Start” menu.
• Type “appwiz.cpl” into the search field and press “Enter”. The “Uninstall or change programs” window will open.
• Click on “royal raid” in the list of programs.
• Click on “Uninstall”.
• Select “Yes” when asked to confirm that you want to uninstall royal raid from your computer.

Note: Your computer will then begin uninstalling the app and may take up to several minutes.

Raid 0 help

Hi all, I've followed the IRST raid installation directions and I have created myself a Raid 0 volume. Rapid storage confirms my successful migration from a system disc to a raid 0 array. I'm also able to select it as my boot device in BIOS, but what I don't understand is why it is not listed in my Drives under my computer

In fact, my computer still lists my original C: drive with the original capacity. I feel as if I've miss an important step here and I'm unsure how to proceed.

 

Is it possible to easily setup Raid-1 on this system ?

Get the six core CPU's I listed, at 3.3Ghz per core they will more than handle any calculations you throw at them for years to come, and with matching RAM in tri channel you will have a very strong setup.


My only other suggestion is a full RAID card like the one I listed with SSD's (in RAID 1)for the OS and programs, and then a RAID 5 array for backup and any large files on the board with a offsite final backup
