    So i have been using this laptop for nearly 5 years now and just these couple of months the wifi driver, Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn decides to stop working so i checked device manager and the driver was gone when i scan for hardware changes. It doesn't come back when i retart my laptop as well. Please help me with this situation because it's very annoying because sometimes it comes back and goes again.

    Limited WiFi Connectivity on Ralink RT3290 Driver on Windows 10 Pro

    Hi,

    I am running Windows 10 on a HP Pavillion 11 x360PC with Ralink RT3290 adapter. My machine was failing/slow to connect on local wifi whereas my wife's HP Pavillion G6 was connecting without problems. Her machine uses a Realtek adapter.

    My post is at 10-02-2015 05:39 PM. Note I downloaded the adapter before doing any un-installs.

    WiFi LAN speed drops to zero for 2-4 seconds every 20-60 seconds. Effectively killing the connection

    I don't think you're the only person having wifi issues with HP Envy laptops.

    I would grab the latest driver from the manufacturer of the Wifi card, not HP itself. That's MediaTek.

    I'd be contacting HP about it (though be prepared for pain when dealing with it as they will try to blame everything else except the laptop).
    Is it under warranty?

    In the meantime, I would suggest purchasing a USB Wifi dongle to reign back some sanity.
