    I hope you can understand my problem from the title, but let me explain a bit further.I'm no genius when it comes to computers, but this feels weird.Yes, i've tried to search a solution, but what seems most reasonable is a hardware problem so before i take it to an expert i'd like to ask here about my problem.I'm using right now around 3gb of my ram, but my ram is 16gb usable 15,83 or something like that and Task Manager says that 50% is used.     I am Dave, an Independent Advisor . . .

    If you have 4GB of RAM, and that is 50% in use, that is quite normal if you have the 64bit version of Windows 10 installed . . .

    Windows itself will be using most of that 2GB of RAM that is used, and you probably have a few background apps running also

    Microsoft put out system specs for Windows 10 of 2GB of RAM for the 32bit version and 4GB of RAM for the 64bit version, in reality that is a bare minimum, you need double that, because Windows 10 is very resource heavy . .

    Hello, my laptop uses around 50% RAM usage when its not doing anything.

    Hi Arghya687,

    I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    You have 2.1GB of RAM set aside for hardware, Windows itself will use nearly 2GB of RAM for the Operating System, and then add your open apps on top of that and the RAM usage is normal as indicated on your screenshots.

    If you need more RAM, the only options would be to either get a video card with dedicated VRAM (if possible) or purchase more RAM.
