Windows 10: Ram 4.00 gb 1.48 usable

    Ram 4.00 gb 1.48 usable


    I have 2 ram of 2gb, both are working but when i insert them in laptop, laptop shows only 1.48 gb usable and 2.5 gb hardware reserved. If i insert only 1 ram no matter which one then it shows 1.48 gb usable so the problem is even if i add my another ram it simply goes to hardware reserved. my laptop is hp pavillion g4 and i'm using windows 10 64 bit. Please help me on this.

    Why 2.66 GB usable in 4 GB ram?

    Thanks to everyone for their valuable suggestions. I guess the problem was with the OS.Because after increasing my ram from 4 gb to 8 gb still the usable memory was 2267 mb out of 8 gb, then I did a clean install of Windows 7.Now everything is fine and smooth, and usable memory is 7.9 gb out of 8 gb.

    I have a HP pavilion g6 1301tx laptop. It came up with 2GB of DDR3 ram, windows 7 pro (64 bit), 1 GB ATI graphic card and motherboard - hp 1670 serial number- pcela212c1bo7I. Few months back I installed Windows 10 (32 bit) . Now I want to increase ram by 2 GB , total of 4 GB so I installed a 2 GB DDR3 ram to the other slot and checked system properties of my computer it says 2.5 GB usable out of 4 GB, now I don't understand why rest of the 1.5 GB is not usable what should i do to get 4 GB ram?

    only 3.18GB ram usable out of 4 GB

    Prevoiusly I had 2 gb ram but now I have 4 gb ram in my computer but can use only 3.18 out of that i bought an additional ram for playing pubg mobile in pc and now it it shows only 3.18 usable and the game does not start in emulator. Please help me!!!!!!
