Windows 10: RAM Frequency

In my task manager, it's showing 2933 MHz and in CMD it's showing 3200 MHz.I was thinking to upgrade my ram. If I purchased a 3200 Mhz ram will it work?Model: ROG Strix G15 i5 10 Gen Version.

Didn't see there was a 2nd page. I loaded up 3200MHz without changing anything else, I just set the frequency and it booted right up. For now This is fine, it's a step in the right direction. Better than what it was.

The XMP column has the manufacturer's suggested settings. On the Memory tab you can see what the RAM is set to in the BIOS...





These are the timings I had to use for my RAM...













In the BIOS, set the frequency to 3600Mhz, set the timings as shown in your XMP column, and set the required voltage as well.

In the past, I've noticed that sometimes, you need to reboot a couple times before the motherboard knows you're serious.




Also... the RAM should be installed in the two slots marked with the BLUE dots...

 

2133Mhz RAM together with an i5-2500k

I don't know.

The QVL (qualified vendors list) for the board lists RAM up to 2400 MHz, but run at 1333. Support for high frequency RAM, but only after a fashion.

I guess that anything over that would be overclocking. All that I can suggest is trying it (may require manually setting the memory frequency in the BIOS) and running a memory test to see whether it is stable.
