    I'm assuming your answer above is not correct anymore. Am I right to assume that? Also, if I have Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64 bit I can upgrade to windows 10 64 bit and have 128GB ram support? I ask because i just purchased ram upgrade today to 24
    gb ram and didn't know it wasn't supported by Windows 7 home. So to clarify, Windows 10 Home 64 bit will allow me to have full use of my 24 GB ram upgrade?

    Hello and welcome,

    You are using a 32-bit operation system with 6GB of RAM? A 32-bit system can use a maximum of 2 or 3GB, not sure about it. If you want to use more RAM and you can run a 64-bit operation system I would choose that.

    Maximum RAM is 4GB for 32bit less some overhead - 3.4GB is about right.

    To use all 6GB, you need a 64bit install. Even then pairing 2GB and 4GB memory is not the greatest idea. You would be better using 2x4GB RAM.

    The other two posters are correct your 32bit Windows is using the maximum Ram it can.... 3.41 GB

    If you decided to get a 64bit windows , I also agree 2 x 4GB would be better for that.

    Is your system 64 bit capable? If so best to install that. If not may want to consider an upgrade of just live with it's limitations.
