Windows 10: RAM Problem.

So I'm no expert but my Laptop has 8GB of RAM I'm using 4GB so it should be 50%, considering that only 6GB are usable it should be about 70%. I wanted to know why my Task Manager says that I'm using 95% while using 4GB and it's not only visual because my games and apps start lagging.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

To RAM or not to RAM...

Hey genesis what hardware have you bought, you might be able to save on the ram and step up the rest of the hardware a little...

Or you could go out on the town as suggested... *Big Grin

• What is the full specifications of your computer?
• Which type of RAM are you trying to install?
• Have you checked if the total RAM is detected in the BIOS?
• Have you tried installing just the 8 Gb RAM and see if the system detects it?
  

We suggest that you contact the computer manufacturer for information on how to enter the BIOS and how to set the default settings. Also, you can ask them if there is an available update for the BIOS.
