    RAM Upgrade


    So before I do a fresh reinstall of Windows OS I have to buy a new sodimm RAM for my laptop. Currently my laptop is old and runs on 4GB 1866 of DDR4. I want to buy a new RAM but I do not know if my laptop can support 2400mhz 8GB RAM ddr4. Please help. I need to know if my laptop can support 8GB ddr4 2400mhz of RAM.

    Memtest: no errors after 10 hrs.
    I'm going to perform the Primetest, later on. Get back to you on that.
    I'm going to take it step by step, guys. I need to find the problem with this current computer. I might have to upgrade some components, so that it is still runnable. As for the new one, yes....i will build on it later. I need to find something decent 'gaming experience', all suggestions appreciated. THanks.

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    Hey genesis what hardware have you bought, you might be able to save on the ram and step up the rest of the hardware a little...
