    Ram Usage does not add up Its not even close


    I am using windows 11 right now and there is a significant problem that makes my laptop unable right now. While studying in OneNote on my Surface Laptop studio, I noticed that everything has been laggy. So I checked the task manager, and I saw that the ram usage was at 95-99% at all times while the ram usage for all processes only added up to around 2-3GB. Meaning there was a huge discrepancy since I have the 16GB model. Below are the details. I need help because I am tired of having to diagnose issues weekly with a relatively brand-new laptop.

    Unknown Constant RAM Usage

    Hi,

    To explore more on RAM usage by processes and see in-depth I advise you to open the Resource monitor, please follow the below steps.

    Step 1 :

    Open Task Manager

    Step 2:

    Click on Performance

    Step 3:

    At the bottom click on Open Resource Monitor

    Step 4:

    Under Resource Monitor windows click on Memory

    Step 5:

    Click on Working Set to list the top process utilizing the more RAM and then evaluate RAM usage.

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
