Windows 10: Ran Chkdsk a few times and even resetted my PC several times, But my files are still...

Hi, So i have a Lenovo laptop that seems broken because i resetted my laptop several times and even ran chkdsk few times, Yet the files are still getting corrupted. Is this because of a virus or it's my harddisk that is damaged? Sorry for the bad english, English isn't my first language. Note: I also ran Genshin that works properly at day, and it says that the files got corrupted either because of a virus or because i downloaded a crack version even though i didn'tOther Note: I ran chkdsk before, and when i tried to fix the reimage windows stuff it's just said that my C drive has errorsPle

Windows time keeps resetting to a wrong time

For us to isolate your concern with your Windows Time, we would like to know the follow:

• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, may we know what are those troubleshooting steps you have taken to resolve the issue?
• Have you tried checking the CMOS battery? It provides power to the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) chip. This chip stores information about the system configuration, including the date and time. If no, we suggest that you replace the battery.

Changing Time Format

Hi Mary,

There's a possibility that the set up time format in your computer Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is military time. To have this checked, you can try to reset the time of your computer through Control Panel. See the steps below on how to do
so:

• Open Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region >
  Change date, time, or number formats. This would open the
  Region window.
• From there, click on Additional settings at the bottom part. It will open the Customize Format.
• Click Reset; then, OK.

The steps should work; however, if not, we suggest that you contact manufacturer and have the BIOS time checked.

Time zone resets to Pacific automatically

We understand your concern as you are unable to set the correct time zone on the PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?
• Are you logged in to the PC as an Administrator user?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to refer the below steps to re-register windows time service.

1. Click on Start menu and type
   CMD, right click on CMD and select Run as Administrator.
   
2. Copy and paste the command and press Enter:
   w32tm /register
   
3. Restart the PC and then try setting the time Zone
   

Also, we would suggest you to check the Windows time service.

1. Press Window + R key and type
   services.msc, click OK
   
2. Scroll down and select
   Windows time service
   
3. Double click on the service and set the
   Startup type to Automatic
   
4. Then Start the service.
   

If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to create a new administrator user account for troubleshooting purpose and check, refer this article to
create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.
