well, it was a long shot but it's paying off, if anyone else has the same issue, first port of call, Realtek drivers lol.

Since Furmark did not cause you to recreate your issue then tends to make me think that Video card is not the issue and possibly not NVIDIA Drivers. TDR Timeout Detection and Recovery is a feature of the Windows operating system which detects response problems from a graphics card, and recovers to a functional desktop by resetting the card.

As i have seen here in other posts similar to this there are other reasons this can happen and TDR is a function in windows that recovers a GPU from an issue. Doubt Realtek was the cause unless a conflict in some way with it's drivers. Look at this older article, but still stands for this issue. Posting here could of checked and posted a crash dump file.
Notice your bug check 116 in article.

Right, I caved in and decided to completely re-install windows from a different hard drive using the media creation tool, guess what happened?

the FASTEST install I've ever had the care to witness, I kid you not, 10 minutes and everything was installed, updates and all, guess the Sandisk SSD isn't upto the task anymore, also might be something to do with the sata port I'm using for it though (using SATAII for all HDD's) but when I was on W7, I installed my samsung SSD dashboard and it told me my port wasn't compatible for full speed transfers and I needed to switch to port 1 to enable it, so I did, and forgot about it lol, so anyway, I installed it on my Samsung SSD and it's running like a champ, even minecraft which used to stutter constantly whenever it loaded chunks in the world, now it's buttery smooth from start to finish.

Yes, good to hear! Was this just an upgrade to 10 from 7 at first now you did a clean install ? Hopefully this was it as i see had this situation before were worked and thought it was solved. Not positive if this happened all the time or not, feeling that it was either the SSD, port or something in installation which i am not sure what to tell you could of been, only think now it being the SSD or still other possible hardware. Time will tell, good luck.

I started with an upgrade, like you normally do, but did a recover option in windows(not fresh but wipe and reset), the OS was corrupted, so wiped again and seemed fine, ^all this stuff happened then it was fixed, but then had one crash this morning, so bit the bullet and did a fresh install, now here's a problem i did not foresee, the driver is still crashing but IT'S ACTUALLY RECOVERING IT! *Biggrin I've never been so elated over a driver crash before lol.

That message can actually be fixed by going into regedit and navigating to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/BCD00000000/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/VIDEO and setting MaxObjectNumber to 0.

Just because it did crash might not mean it is the driver for sure as said, this is the TDR reacting to it and recovering.
Try what other member said, but also think about some of other test maybe needed.

I might just do the DDU and install the latest NV drivers, I'm not 100% with regedit without messing it all up, that's what corrupted the first install lol.

Well, i know that very well, i just thought it would get annoying to get more messages like these so i said to edit this key.

    EDIT: Yes do DDU first.

If backup registry or use system restore, you might be fine. A post you commented on with similar issue still has same errors like you, he found using old NVIDIA Driver seems to stop his issues. Could be something with older cards and Windows 10 issues.
Maybe there chipsets, as NVIDIA has different chipsets,Fermi,Maxwell, etc....

I know mine is Fermi, but it's the sweet spot for my hardware without bottlenecking, I may be able to upgrade to a 600 Kepler but finances restrict at the moment, also, not sure if it'll bottleneck.

Mean like GTX 660 ? Your motherboard is an older model i saw as long as PSU has sufficient power and PCI-E slot can accommodate it. Strange to me how list here does show compatibility with NVIDIA mentioned.

oh, my MB can accommodate, it's got 3 PCI-E slots, 2x 2.0 ports and a single 1.0 port. it's a great motherboard, just shame about the chipset. google EVGA nf78 132 CK-A1

well, it's officially solved, a fresh install again, (the last one was 32bit) and not a single crash, updated to the latest nv drivers and it's running amazingly, thanks a lot peeps.
