    Random black screen lit monitor can do nothing when NOT gaming


    Windows 11 4 months16gb ram1050ti geforcei7I am out of my wits end. Imagine while keying in hundreds of numbers and suddenly your computer goes black. Then only thing you can do is using the power off/on button. I'm scared the hardware inside will be damaged with such frequent forced power off.My laptop randomly goes unresponsive where I can do nothing to solve it. Screen turns black randomly but still lit. The only time it does not happen when I'm gaming, playing Dota. It also happened when I leave my laptop idle, sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 3 hours, it happened randomly. I'

    Windows 8.1 black screen

    I plugged in my monitor and both screens were on/lit but black screen on both.

    Agreed, but it does no matter what I'm doing. I haven't done any gaming because of this, but just using the web, etc., the black screen shows. No one thing triggers it; it just does it at random.

    viczulis - how's that memory working for you?

    Random Black Screen

    For the last week I have been getting random black screens which basically means I have to force power my system down. First of this was because I was running AMD software alongside the Windows (UWP) which was potentially causing issues. I have removed the AMD software as recommended by AMD yet I am still getting the black screen, because I am running dual monitors only my main screen is going black and the other is staying on but I am unable to move the mouse around to the second monitor. The main monitor is connected by DP and the 2nd monitor is HDMI (old monitor)

    Anyone have any ideas.

    Graphics card is a AMD Radeon 5700XT
