    Random blank Notepad document named RPCACheck.tm popping up on Desktop after start pc.


    I accidentally downloaded malware from a popup website because I was not paying attention. The malware that was downloaded consisted of McAfee, Taskbarify, along with some other "virus protection" software's. I scanned my computer, combed through installed apps and removed all programs from that download.After that I thought I was safe until I realized my computer was running its CPU at 100% during processes that usually have it around 46%-54% gaming lol and so I started combing through my task manager to see what the issue was. To my surprise I found an APUC program running in the backgroun

    Text Document or Notepad - Right click on desktop

    Hello

    Earlier I was able to get a Text Document on my desktop but now I cannot

    So earlier I used to follow these steps to get Text Document on my desktop

    Step 1 : Right click on desktop

    Step 2 : Cursor or mouse on New which has a arrow and then a menu pops out which has the option of creating Text Document on desktop and once you click on Text Document a notepad would appear on desktop

    But now that option is missing

    Re-naming Notepad Documents

    I recently read a 2016 post seeking information on renaming a Windows Notepad text document. The procedure is simple and straight forward. Locate the file in your 'documents' folder (or wherever you've saved it.)

    Right-click on the document (do not open it) then scroll down the options drop-down list, near the bottom is the 'rename' option. Click it, enter new name and press 'enter'. Voila!

    Windows 10 - Desktop Issue: New Text Document Renaming Bug

    I made a new text document on my desktop. I saved it without naming it. It shows as New Text Document. It was Blank. I opened it and was able to enter text. Closed it. It was a notepad document. I right clicked on and sent it to my USB stick. I did
    not save as.

    Looked in the USB stick and found it listed as New Text Document.

    It opened in notepad.

    I deleted it from the desktop. It was still in the USB stick.

    This is in Build 14986
