Windows 10: Random Blue Screen Crashes or Black screen crashes.

When either playing games or just using my PC for random tasks like youtube or ebay, my computer will show the blue crash screen or the screen will go black with audio still playing and my pc fans will go full RPM. When i get the blue screen crash my computer just restarts normally. I get this at least 1-3 times a day with the blue screen crash. The black screen crash happens very randomly and happens maybe 1-2 times a week. Im getting really frustrated with this because i upgraded to the AM5 chipset recently and never had these problems with my AM4. I reformatted my M.2 ssd's, my 4080 gpu and

I assume from the title of your post Crash/Blue Screen that the PC has crashed and produced a *BSOD=[Blue Screen Of Death] =Blue Screen; and that the PC recovered from this; if and when you see the Blue Screen write the Stop Code down; recover the PC or use one that is working to access the net and look up the Stop Code.

nb: You may be able to view this with a [*BlueScreenView] application, google for this.

BlueScreenView scans all your minidump files created during 'blue screen
of death' crashes, and displays the information about all crashes in one
table. For each crash, BlueScreenView displays the minidump filename, the
date/time of the crash, the basic crash information displayed in the blue
screen (Bug Check Code and 4 parameters), and the details of the driver
or module that possibly caused the crash (filename, product name, file
description, and file version).
For each crash displayed in the upper pane, you can view the details of
the device drivers loaded during the crash in the lower pane.
BlueScreenView also mark the drivers that their addresses found in the
crash stack, so you can easily locate the suspected drivers that possibly
caused the crash.

Random Black Screens - Crashes and Blue Screen

Thank you for your help,

I have found some success with underclocking (never had it overclocked) my gpu, I don't get any black screen- or blue screen crashes anymore, but now visual glitches, so I have concluded that it is probably end of the line for my gpu and ordered a new one.

But for people with similar issues this might still work, my gpu is just too far gone.

 

Random black screen crashes

For almost a year now I've been having crashes with no discernible source, seemingly at random. I could be browsing the internet, playing a game, or literally doing nothing. Sometimes I've had my computer crash after a restart before I can even open a program. When it first started it would often blue screen, although it wouldn't always give a cause. Now though, it just crashes to a black screen or occasionally another solid color. It's not a complete shutdown though because the lights on my computer and sometimes on my mouse stay on. I've reinstalled Windows multiple times, updated and reinstalled all drivers, and most recently got another hard drive to rule out hard drive failures. Most other hardware replacements are outside my budget so I'm really hoping that the problem is something on the software side of things. I thought I had things resolved after two days of no crashes, but now it's crashed twice today. Any help would be appreciated because I'm running out of ideas
