Windows 10: random BSOD while the adapter on my laptop is plugged

1 or 2 month ago my laptopacer nitro 5 started to give bsods while gaming. The bsods gave me SYSTEM_SERVICE EXEPTION an MEMORY MANEGMENTthats what i have seen but it gives me bsod only when the adapter is plugged and i play for few minutes.The adapter is fine and its the original one and i can surf the web and do other things while its plugged without a problem. i can play games without problem when its unplugged but the battery dont last for long so i am searching for a way to fix this problem beacause i want to play without a problem . Laptop adapter died

As a fun fact, some laptop adapters do interchange (old IBM Thinkpad adapters are actually a cheap and popular replacement for some Panasonic toughbooks because the specs are identical), but you should NEVER assume they do simply because of a physical fit!

Most laptops list the voltage and current on the bottom panel or by the plug. All adapters should as well if they are UL listed. Check both and don't plug it in unless they match! Even then, the best bet is ALWAYS the original adapter.

So yeah, hope you didn't do more damage than just the AC adapter is all I can say.

 

Random BSOD while browsing internet


BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.

 

BSOD after plugging in AC adapter

Hi, I tried the method you told. I uninstalled the Battery and the AC Adapter driver, and restarted the laptop. But it didn't solve the problem. The BSOD still occured when I plugged the AC adapter. Actually, it happened not right after I plugged it, rather
around 3-5 minutes later.
