Windows 10: Random BSODs and frequent crashing of other misc. programs and games

This has been going on for over a month, one day my desktop suddenly blue screened, and it went downhill from there. Random programs constantly stop working, high intensity games run for maybe 10 minutes before closing, low intensity games run for a longer time but crash eventually, chrome experiences stack_buffer_overruns forcing page refreshes, and I get BSOD's with

irql_not_less_or_equal, driver_irql_not_less_or_equal, page_fault_in_nonpaged_area, and driver_overran_stack_buffer.

I have taken my desktop to a technician who told me it was most likely the motherboard, and I should replace that. As my pc is was a prebuilt dell xps 8190 with an older motherboard, I figured I could use this as an opportunity to get other parts as well. After replacing the motherboard and my RAM, the issue persisted, however it is slightly more stable and blue screens less.



I have tried to test my CPU, it passed every check. I did sfc /scannow, no issues detected. I have tried many online fixed to no avail.

Encountering random game crashes and multiple different BSOD


I have been encountering random game crashes and different BSOD messages for the past month at a high rate. This mainly happens when playing 'Smite' but happens frequently with other games and sometimes when browsing on Chrome. Attachment 45120

BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.
