    Random BSoDs - SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (!!!)

Hello! I am having an unsightly problem with my computer suddenly starting to randomly crash out of the blue.
It's entirely random, and sometimes it doesn't even throw up a BSoD. Sometimes it just hangs and I can't do anything at all. I have gotten a BSoD that I can show two times now!
    Here's some info.
I hope that this can be resolved! This is a frustrating problem and happens entirely randomly and has even happened when I'm just trying to play games with my friends. Thank you so much!! Info about my PC should show on my profile.
note: If you're attempting to fix, then please just look at the crash dumps from 6/9/16 - 6/11/16 unless you're super generous... though the other crashes were probably one-timers.
I was asked if my computer was overclocked once a long time ago, just in case it said something like that -- I don't even know how to overclock a computer! I've never touched the inside of my computer, so it couldn't be overclocked. Sorry!

How come you only have 1 hotfix in months installed? You should have about 10 hotfixes installed.

Please visit Windows Update and install every update available, it may take a couple of times to get them all.
    Code: Hotfix(s): 1 Hotfix(s) Installed.[/quote]

    Diagnostics Test
    Random BSoDs - SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (!!!) [IMG]
    System File Check
    Please try following:
    • Open an admin command prompt
    • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
    • When it finished reboot your system
    • Open again an admin command prompt
    • Enter sfc/scannow again
If sfc/scannow says "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them" after the second SFC, please upload the cbs.log file located at %systemroot%\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

Make a photo of SFC and post it.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.
    • Uninstall Daemon Tools
    • Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below
    Attachment 85304
If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Hi friend! My Windows Update was turned off through some Windows programs by ASUS because it would uninstall all of my ASUS programs and Steam games as well as my drivers and say they were incompatible with 10. I don't know how ASUS did it because I don't remember, just that I've learned in time that it was a mistake to listen to them on the phone. I have a sneaking suspicion the technician I was on the line with was fired shortly after for his unprofessional attitude. I hope he's okay, though.

I found out that the back of my computer is causing the weird issues and the cheap out fix for now is not using my USB 3.1s at all, as anything plugged into them will cause the crash for whatever reason. Luckily my 3.0 and 2.0 drivers seem not to be freaking out. Would this have anything to do with the USB 3.1 driver not having been updated since the very beginning of 2015, and having no previous versions or changes since then? Or maybe it's the hotfixes missing. Probably those hotfixes, actually...

Is there any way to reinstall Windows Update without completely wiping my computer, on a side note, if you know? If you don't, or there isn't, I'm sorry for the time waste.

    Here's my SFC:

By the way, the image you posted is a broken image symbol. Sorry, friend! And thank you for the help so far you're amazing

The image is perfectly visible for me on multiple systems.

If you search "services.msc" (without quotes) and press enter you get a pop-up of the services present on your system, scroll down to 'Windows Update' and tell me what the startup type is.

If you go to Windows Update in the settings what do you see? Make a screenshot of it and post it.

Hi friend! Thanks for fixing the image. And thanks for fixing Windows Update! Reinstalling the driver fixed my problem, you're the real MVP to be doing this while doing lots of work. Thanks so much for everything! I hope you rock your studies!
