Windows 10: Random cmd popup

    Hello. I have this very weird problem where a cmd window randomly opens, then after a few seconds it closes. It doesn't do anything visually noticeable, like it doesn't minimize my currently open window or open another program or anything. It just pops up, waits a few seconds, then closes. It doesn't even say anything, it's just a little line flashing then it closes. I'm pretty scared, because i have no idea what that is, and avira and avast say that my computer is safe and protected.

    Hi Microsoft,

    As the title suggested, I am currently encountering the issue where random popups occurred. It would seems like it was a command prompt and it randomly appeared and closes immediately. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

    Interesting. Another user just reported a similar problem. Ed suggest looking at scheduled tasks. Here is the link to that thread. Hopefully you can identify the culprit in Task scheduler using Ed's solution.

    Started to get random cmd.exe popups with no specifics.

    Random UsoClient.exe cmd popup at startup


    I have noticed this twice on my desktop. After start-up, I have seen a black, blank cmd popup saying UsoClient.exe.

    I think it has happened twice. I scanned the file and it is clean. Any idea what is going on?
