Random coloured pixels with abstract pattern appeared on my laptop screen. But after restarting they went away. It happened twice , what could be the possible reasona nd how can i fix this.?

Laptop - Random Screen Patterns

Hey all,

I did have a thread somewhere about this that dies, and I can't find it... but it's still happening. What happens here is the laptop (Toshiba SP6000 Satellite Pro) works fine for a while, then the screen turns red with random patterns on it, mostly in yellow. I'll see if I can get a picture tomorrow of what it looks like. I don't believe it's overheating, as EVEREST reports temperatures of 40-60C. Any ideas on how to fix?

6680 screen all pixels showing different colours

Hi,

My two year old 6680 just started showing the weirdest thing for which I have no explanation. HAve checked on a couple of forums, but no one else seems to have had an issue like this.

When powered on, all pixels on the screen shows a different colour. The pattern is random - similar to how one would describe "white noise", except that all colours seems to be represented.

The phone seems to function normally otherwise.

Any ideas what might have caused this? Is the phone broken or can it be repaired? Can this sort of problem just happen or is it related to physical damage such as the phone dropped, etc.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thats weird ben, I have a toshiba satelite A60 and when I restart it sometimes the screen goes red with all sorts of patterns on it. I just reset it and it works, It has never done it twice in a row.....
