Windows 10: Random computer crashes

My windows 10 pc will crash spontaneously, the computer switching off, while running programs, most frequently triggered by high performance games. Hardware has been recently checked by a professional and no issues were found, and it is not caused by overheating. I can turn the computer back on within moments and it boots perfectly. Manipulating startup and services, I noticed the computer did not crash when there was no internet access for a day, but that is not unprecedented. The next time the computer crashed was after i reset it so my wife could use the internet; it crashed while she was working. I removed all programs I have not used in a year, even some stock microsoft apps I have no use for. I googled programs to ensure i was not removing anything vital. I turned off everything in startup and services which are not microsoft except my video card programs, and researched which microsoft services did nothing for me. I have stripped away all non-windows antivirus and malware tools. The computer still crashes. I have run all hardware updates, as did the professional in his checks. Please advise me how to stop this issue. To replace my computer with its 32gb ram and other decent qualities is not within my financial grasp. I am going to continue experimenting with system loads offline, but if it only crashes when internet is available I still can’t play the online games I enjoy. Thank you for your time and attention.

Random Crash/Freeze on Build 10130


Hello everyone.

I have been running the Windows 10 preview for the last few months and other than a driver issue here or there, did not experience any real problems. However, with the last update to build 10130, I have been experiencing a random crash/freeze that manifests itself in one of two ways:

1. If I step away from the computer and come back before the monitor is set to go to sleep, I will come back to a frozen cursor, unable to do anything.
2. If I step away from the computer and come back after the monitor has gone to sleep, I will come back to a black screen, unable to do anything.

In both cases, I have to hold the power button in to shut down the computer for a restart.

Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Random crashes on new computer

Followed all steps and haven't received a crash yet but as I said before, its random.

NZXT CAM O.C. was never used but I use it for lighting and fan regulation.
I have OCCT installed but have never even launched it.
I've overclocked slightly on AORUS Engine but reset to default / silent mode for testing here.
Ryzen 5 is also slightly overclocked (one click UEFI optimal setting @ 3800)

Furmark overclock seemed quite stable at 68C which is fairly normal at that GPU usage.
